Great to see you and your kid Jeff. Sorry about your dad. My dad had a heart scare a few weeks ago, it's rough. Love seeing some of the older pieces as well. Keep motivated, keep painting, and keep healthy bud.
Glad to hear your dad is doing better. Keep your head up. Sounds like you just need to go freehand crazy and just let your mind do some drawings. Take a break from the photo stuff. May help you get a little more motivated. I love all your drawings so whatever you draw I live to see it. :-)
I couldnt see the rest of the video some reason it stops at 2 min, but i hope you feel better i think u have alot of TALENT and a great channel! did u see the new cintiq its portable
you're a cool bloke, it would be cool to see more of what goes on in your head than your usual stuff, you could maybe try a little expressionism? p.s hope your pap stays well!
hey Jeff - Glad to see ya post another video! I'm kind of in the same 'funk' - just been so busy doing every other job other than MY ART to just stay ahead of bills etc...
I'm also in the place of where I don't feel I'm doing what I need to do, my background was more cartoony, from my days in animation and doing storyboards for film & tv - and now I'm doing a lot more photo-reference - I dig it and I'm having fun playing and finding my "style"... I don't do photo realistic, but I do feel like I'm in a bit of a rut... I think a lot of it is, I just worry about paying the bills and feeding my kids - that I get all weirded-out and stressed that it's hard for a moody artist to sit and do art that is a bit more personal... Granted, I love all the commission work I've had over the last few months (and years).. I don't know... I may be rambling... HEH
I but I hear ya Jeff... Hang in there buddy - and keep doing what you do!
Sorry to hear about your Dad, man. It's nice to know he's doing better though. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers man. Don't stretch yourself too thin either. And be careful on those roofs! lol
oh too bad about your father. i guess as far as health, one's lifestyle is definitely an influence, but it does determine it. ive thought about art on similar terms. "lowbrow" is the term you want to use if youre going for pretentious. ive never liked the connotation of that word though. still, stepping away from your familiar process or style is a challenge for any artist...i just have to say it makes me feel so good to see your art on paper, board, whatever. too much digital these days
Your work is great! It's typical for us artists to be our own biggest critics at times. You have so much talent and artistic style it's crazy. Don't get mixed up with thinking your artwork is un-important or anything like that. You've got a following of fans that would look forward to seeing even as much as a throw away pencil sketch from you. Hang in there, and keep on producing that great artwork we all know you for! Hope your Dad is getting better & is recovering.
You are a great artist and a great man Jeff. Your talent is a motivation for many people seeking perfection in their work through a lot of training and study! Mirror me in you to be, one day, a great artist! I wish you the best wishes to you and your father (and your entire family). Regards ..!

I've said it before but I really love your fantasy art. Your movie fan art is also great (and not unimportant).
It's always great to see the artist and listen to his words. I really enjoyed the video.
Thanks for all the great comments and kind words everyone!
-Jeff
