via Google+ Hi Jeff, check out my favorite Artist who are making money, Postcards from provence, and David palumbo, I bought two of his books last year and Have bought prints from postcards from provence as well.
via Google+ Thanks Jeff, I missed seeing you draw but still enjoyed listening to you talk, I like to hear your thoughts, about what your doing and it's great to hear the advice your offering too regarding ebay. I've considered throwing a few pieces of my own from time to time and it's something I may look at doing once I've built a bit more of a larger portfolio of more recent material.
via Google+ thanks Jeff I appreciate . If only Drew Struzan would've documented his sessions and thoughts . what a library of reference that would've made . youre in the same class as him . heres to becoming Great my friend.

LINKED COMMENT I had (have?) a Etsy page that I will get back to again, I think I have a better idea of what to post there now. And I tried Ebay, but like you mention... I'm going to give it a much better chance of success when I do. When it comes down to it I need more streams on income since my plan is to not have a day job and pursue art full time.
via Patreon So I was thinking. for $15/week=$60/month=$720 for the year of partonage, if you choose that option, you get 1 commission for the whole year, but if someone wants to commission you, your prices do vary according to the size, but maybe you could post the price per week that you would do a commission once a month for the sized "Painting will be 3 1/2” x 7 1/2” inches on a 7" x 11" inch board. Painted in acrylic paint on hard board." for the price of that commission which is 150, so divide that by 4. $150/4weeks=$37.50. That being said, someone could purchase a commission once a month, and also get prints. It made sense in my head before I typed it, now I just feel like I'm dumb... *Pledge $38.00 per week, for the purchase of 1 video every week and at the end of the month your total pledge would be $152, get a commission of your choice, "Painting will be 3 1/2” x 7 1/2” inches on a 7" x 11" inch board. Painted in acrylic paint on hard board." etc etc.* as well as 4 prints? or not 4 prints? just the commission? and credit at the end of each video, etc etc....then its like paying installments leading up to their commission. They could also tell you the commission they want before they are done paying for the month and then you can find references and get ready to do it towards the end of the month. I dont know, I'm not really to sure myself how patron works, I would have to try doing to myself to really know how. IDK. just a thought. *shrugs shoulders*
Shirley ... This is interesting (I had to read it a couple of times to get it) but your basically saying add a tier for original art - like you said ... $38 a week = a $150 dollar commission, each month. (oh course I would have to keep that limited to the amount I could actually paint) ... but that's good, when I was originally trying to put together the pledge tiers, I was trying to work in original art in some way, but I think this is possibly a better idea. I'm going to think on it bit more, and probably implement some form of your idea in the future. Thanks Shirly! -Jeff
via Facebook hey man great stuff.....i love the chewy video! made me want to pick up a pencil. I started drawing again because of you and Darren Beadman. Thanks guys
via Google+ HI Jeff, I was the lucky winner on ebay with the Hulk. Just want to say thank you for the beautiful work and I have to admit I got it to steal some of your technique lol. I appreciate what your doing here and I've also been asked to do some tutorial vids. Once again thanks. I really just discovered your work a few weeks ago. I would appreciate if you would check out my site and give some feedback. Thanks for the inspiration and the work. Armbruster
It was kinda hard to explain... but you got what I was saying! Yes that is correct. Yes and of course you would have to keep the commission availability to a limited amount. It is definitely trial and error. You have to test out the waters to see what works or doesnt work. This was would advertise original artwork, and that you are open for commissions.
via Google+ Congratz on all the art that is flying off of your ebay!! Im so proud and extremely happy for you!!! Im super glad that this is working and you are able to make money!! Awesome job Jeff!
LINKED COMMENT hey Jeff, i'm just getting my new blog up and running. posting new stuff and my existing portfolio. and i've been thinking a lot about selling. i planned on creating an Etsy in a week or 2 as I've always been wary of ebay. Thank you for this video. i love the way you do it. with a starting bid of 25 and then a buy it now of 50. i assume you do a 1 week auction? i really took your ideas to heart. and you really turned me around on ebay. i have plenty of finished art. and i think in a couple of weeks i'm going to do what you suggested. put a new auction up every day for 50 days. i'm not precious about my work. cos i think well i can always draw another 1. so thank you. in a week or so i think i'm going to throw myself into ebay like you suggested.
LINKED COMMENT If you do your videos, mon-Friday, we get them Tuesday-Saturday, because you upload them for the following day, the next day. So we watch what you did yesterday.
via Google+ For things like that book cover design, did you do that purely on spec, or did you get paid to do the exploration? I'm hoping you got paid, regardless of whether they want to go forward :)
via Google+ Just thought I'd point out that Amazon just bought Comixology :) There's a lot of nervousness about what that might mean, but I think it'll ultimately be a good thing. However, they immediately removed the ability to buy comics directly through the app, which is sure to affect sales. But then again, they no longer have to give Apple a 30% cut.
