Hi everyone ... Long time, no see.
I've been getting use to the new job & new schedule ... and slowly things a becoming manageable again.
I recently finished this Thorin Oakenshield sketch card I was working on a while back.
Both the painted card - Link and pencil study - Link are currently for sale on eBay, have a look if your interested..
If your interested in pre-ordering the upcoming print, here’s a link - Thorin Oaken shield $7.99
(The prints will be ready to ship at the end of June)
I've defiantly been missing doing my podcast, but recently I was interviewed on my good friend Peter Palmiotti’s show ‘The Independent Road’
It was a lot of fun and ended up being a two part’er, so I’ll post next weeks show when its up. Give it a listen, and hopefully it will tide over the fans of my show, until I get my act together again.
See you guys next time.

Espectacular!
Sir, your skills are still awesome and I'm amazed by them as always. Just by curiosity, but will you ever make a Micheal Jackson sketch card?
Jeff,
great work as always!
Cheers
Olav
Looks amazing :) Great job :)
Excellent thanks Jeff, about time we heard from you - about you!! Looking forward to listening. I've archived the podcast so I can listen to it when the paintbrushes are out next… All the best.. M
As always lovely work mate!
I was wondering how you've been. I miss seeing your frequent posts, but am also happy that you're working steady.
Great. as usual!
Incredible work as always Jeff, and that's for the plug!

That's very well painted and I'm pretty sure that's Jesus.
Great portrait. Pam :)

Raymo ... Thanks for the comment. I can see the Jesus resemblance, or at least a resemblance to what most peoples perception of what Jesus looked like.

~KazumaAkimitsu ... Thank you! I'm not sure, if I did paint Micheal Jackson, it would probably be because it was a request for a job, or a commission. Not cause I don't like him or anything like that, its just that I'm more inspired by the movie stuff than the music side of things.

I love the Thorin. :)
Great stuff!
Great look. Lots a visual motion in a still portrait, especially the eyes.
Great portrait, Jeff. Like the limited palette. Makes it very powerful.
Jeff, your portrait style is inspiring. This is gorgeous. I love the look in his eye (& it sure didn't make me think of Jesus).
Oh huh
Magnificent portrait work.
Nicely done, the cross hatching gives the dimensions a real punch.
I agree with johnjohn, the whole thing is excellent.

Fantastic work, sir. The likeness is quite accurate and I love the tones you used. The umber-ish browns and slight streaks of dull green in his hair and beard really bring out the ruddy presence of the dwarf king. Very nice job.
Thanks Max!

you are insanely good!
Intense portrait! You rock those colored pencils.
Follow-up visit friend :)
Excellent technique! I have one tiny gripe - his left eye is higher than his right eye and it throws the whole thing off for me. I know it's an easy fix in photoshop, but if you're anything like me you hate doing that. Really great work - I hate to even mention the one error.
Katie Lawter ... Thanks Katie
Obat ... Thanks for stopping by
hadesillustrations ... Thanks Hades, I appreciate the critique.
